The long awaited results and highlights of WWE SummerSlam 2016 is here. WWE SummerSlam 2016 Results and HighlightsWWE SummerSlam 2016 results give us a mixed response.  WWE World Heavyweight Championship looks cool with the match between Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler. But the Raw’s new WWE Universal Championship title match was far better. Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship has more energy than WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens

Winner: Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens.


It is definitely the biggest event of the summer. Summerslam!. Enzo Amore and Big Cass said.”Jericho, we have 99 problems and you’re only one among them”. There come Y2J and Kevin Owens. The match started, Jericho took the lead but it didn’t last for a minute as the 7-foot demon strikes back. WWE is good at prioritizing cards. The brand value of Jericho is enough for opening the SummerSlam event. Jericho bounces back and tagged KO. There comes the actual destruction. Ko goes to the top rope and bombed on Enzo. With a code breaker to Enzo by Jericho, the match is over.

Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte (WWE Women’s Championship; Dana Brooke is barred from ringside)

Winner: The new women’s champion Charlotte

Highlights: The biggest match of divas division starts after 25th July is here. The match between charlotte and Shasha banks begins with full aggressiveness. Both have given their best shots to the crowd. Charlotte’s, physical domination against Banks improved her confidence level. But the champion is not willing to give up too early. Shasha somehow able to reverse the scene with a turnbuckle. Charlotte managed to kick out at 2. Top Rope double one as by Shasha banks was incredible. Again, Charlotte managed to kick out at 2. Charlotte tries to capitalize, but Sasha kicks out at 2. Shasha tries to lock Charlotte with a cross face but Charlotte managed to reverse and cover. The match ends and the new women’s champion is Charlotte.

The Miz (c) (with Maryse) vs. Apollo Crews (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

Winner: Still the intercontinental champion the Miz

Highlights: The Miz used his agility to tackle Apollo Crews dominance. We could experience some powerful shots between the both. However, the champion retains his title with one signature move.

John Cena vs. AJ Styles

Winner: Aj Styles

Highlights: The between Aj Styles and john Cena begins with a drop kick by styles. Support for Cena from the crowd was amazing. Cena starts his dominance with a drop kick followed by a punch on upper head, shoulder block. Cena tried AA, but styles reversed the move and set a styles crash. Very few have cracked styles crash and Cena were one among them. Cena tried AA from send rope. Again Aj Styles reverse Cena’s move by torture back converted power bomb. AJ executed Cena’s AA, but Cena kicks at two. Aj styles tried 450 splash from the top rope, but Cena escaped. Even this didn’t give an opening to Cena. Aj Styles locked Cena. Cena struggled a lot to reverse it but styles broke the code. Tornado DDT by john Cena gave him the real opening. Cena climbed the top rope and perfectly executed leg drop. Somehow Aj Styles managed to retain his energy. But Cena delivered a clothesline. Cena carried Styles to the top rope and executed super AA. Styles kick off at two and the match continues. Frustration is on Cena’s face. He tried AA, but AJ styles reversed it again with his signature move. This match was a real classic. John Cena leaves his hand band on the ring and walked out with pain.

The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) (c) vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (WWE Tag Team Championship)

Winner: Still the Tag team champions The New Day

Highlights: The fist time New day is contesting a match without Big E. Jon Stewart stood at ringside to support the new day. Impressive start with double team attack by Kofi and Woods. Both contributed well. Especially Xavier woods was awesome. I think his first big event is this SummerSlam. At a moment, Jon Stewart steps into the ring to stop Anderson to pin Kofi Kingston. Anderson and Gallows tried to deliver the same pain to Jon which they gave to Big E. Big E entered the ring surprisingly and attacked Anderson and Gallows. The new day was disqualified but still, they are the champion. Their 365 days reign continues
